The Pump House is situated in a prime waterside location close to where the city docks meet the river Avon.The former Victorian pumping station, under the leadership of chef proprietor Toby Gritten (of Bells Diner/ The Albion), provides a perfect destination for those in search of exquisite food and quality beverages, in fabulous surroundings.
Food at the Pump House - The food style is predominantly British with influences from the continent.The restaurant’s ‘a la carte’ menu combines classic dishes and modern cooking techniques. Whist the bar provides more traditional pub fare with a strong emphasis on quality. Everything is prepared on site, from bread to ice-cream. Fish and shellfish are delivered daily from the coast and meat sourced locally where possible.
Both menus evolve with the seasons and utilise the very best of the diverse ingredients the West Country has to offer.The Pump House stocks an extensive selection of beverages, that will suit any occasion or desire. There is a fine assortment of lagers, ales, bottled beers, ‘West Country’ ciders, a great range of spirits - from the standard tipple to the more unusual and premium spirit and of course a fine selection of fresh coffees and tea.
The bar has a choice of great wine that is of the highest quality and value for money with selected bottles available by the glass. The restaurant has its own extensive Champagne and Wine list which is specifically designed to compliment the menu with both ‘old’ and ‘new’ world wine, many of which are exclusive to the Pump House restaurant.
