Goldbrick House
69 Park Street,West End, BS1 5PB, Bristol
Such a fanfare was made about the opening of Goldbrick House that you?d have think the Queen herself might?ve had something to do with it.
She didn?t, but many of the patrons probably like to think they share some blue blood with old dear, and perhaps some of them do, but these ruddy-cheeked aristocrats just add to the sumptuous atmosphere anyway. No expense has been spared in creating a wonderfully decadent social space to crown the top of Park Street.
A general neo-Baroque aesthetic pervades, with plenty of white, gilt and decorative gabling, but with an oh-so-tasteful nod to the past with many original Georgian period features being retained.
There are two different bars to choose from, one being upstairs and very comfortable in it?s grand surroundings. A huge selection of premium spirits is available ? including some rare whiskeys ? and the cocktails have to be seen to be believed. For the ultimate impressive gesture, order your party a Mesuthalem of champagne and watch the heads turn.
